Eden Petroleum is the world’s first for-profit corporation to issue discrete classes of shares that are gifted to groups specifically within each region where Eden Petroleum is working to empower the local peoples. These unique shares tie performance in that region directly to investment in the relevant stakeholders. The unique share classes include Repatriation Class Shares, Cottage Industry Class Shares, Indigenous Peoples Class Shares, and Sovereign Class Shares.
Repatriation class shares are entrusted for the benefit of all eligible Diaspora who wish to return to the home they fled. The proceeds from these shares shall be invested in a business or enterprise in the country of origin.
Cottage class shares are entrusted for the advancement of women from the region. All proceeds from these shares shall be invested in local start-up cottage business, and small agricultural enterprises.
Indigenous class shares are entrusted to tribal peoples from the region. All proceeds from these shares shall be used to preserve tribal culture and language in that region.
Sovereign class shares are entrusted to the national government to ensure the government is an active participant in the use of petroleum to build or rebuild the nation.
